Summer Art History Fun…

If you’re looking for some short, sweet bites of Art History this summer [as I am],  The Khan Academy  has a great collection of 10 minute video clips covering the Ancient Cultures straight through to Post Colonialism.

I used the site to research artwork during my AH102 course.  It’s fabulous – two very likeable art historians take you into the galleries and museums and explain all the details of period, style, influence and technique [without all the reading!] and in layman terms. 😉

The Khan Academy itself is interesting venture, described as ‘One Man, One Computer, 10 Million Students – How Khan Academy is Reinventing Education’.  The article and the Academy are both well worth checking out.
